Groundskeeper / Porter for Sanctuary Community

About the role

The Groundskeeper/Porter will maintain the physical appearance of the Sanctuary at Eagle Creek community, ensuring grounds, amenities, and common areas are clean, safe, and welcoming for residents and guests.

Key responsibilities

• Inspect the community throughout the day to remove litter, debris, and pet droppings, keeping all common areas neat.
• Remove trash from vacant apartments, transfer it to dumpsters or storage, and maintain storage areas.
• Complete minor and routine service requests and assist the make‑ready specialist during unit turn‑overs.
• Change all locks according to policy and verify that pool gates meet safety codes.
• Distribute resident notices and communications as needed.
• Report any hazards or dangerous situations to supervisors promptly.
• Provide courteous customer service, answer resident questions, and address maintenance complaints.
• Follow Greystar’s safety and risk‑management policies, attend safety meetings, and complete required OSHA training.

Required profile

• Valid driver’s license to operate a golf cart on the property.
• Physical ability to stand, walk, bend, climb ladders, lift up to 25 lb unaided and 50 lb with assistance.
• Capability to work inside and outside in all weather conditions.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, holidays and respond to on‑call situations.

Required skills

• Basic lock changing.
• Golf cart operation.
• Use of standard cleaning equipment.
