About the role
The University of Arkansas seeks a reliable Groundskeeper I to maintain the campus’s lawns, landscaping, and outdoor pathways. This full‑time, onsite position involves routine grounds upkeep in various weather conditions while supporting a safe and welcoming environment for students, staff, and visitors.
Key responsibilities
- Maintain lawns, general landscaping, and ensure roadways, parking lots, and walkways are clear and well‑kept.
- Perform basic grounds maintenance tasks, including mowing, edging, and weed control.
Required profile
- At least 18 years of age with a valid driver’s license in good standing.
- Ability to communicate effectively, work independently, and maintain reliable attendance.
Required skills
- Operation of push mowers, riding lawn mowers, and weed eaters.
- Manual lifting capability up to 50 lb and ability to perform repetitive physical work.
