Groundskeeper for US Fairgrounds

About the role

Ensures the physical aspects of the community are maintained and standards are met regarding the grounds, amenities and overall curb appeal while supporting the service team.

Key responsibilities

• Inspect the community throughout the day to remove litter, debris, pet droppings and keep common areas neat.
• Remove trash from vacant apartments, transfer it to dumpsters, and maintain storage areas.
• Complete minor and routine service requests and assist the make‑ready specialist during turn processes.
• Change locks according to policy and verify pool‑area gates meet safety codes.
• Distribute resident notices, report hazards, and respond to maintenance‑related complaints.
• Participate in safety meetings, complete OSHA training and promptly report accidents.

Required profile

• Valid driver’s license to operate a golf cart on the property.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, climb ladders and lift up to 25 lb independently (50 lb with assistance).
• Capability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Flexible schedule including evenings, weekends and holidays for on‑call duties.
• Willingness to travel occasionally to assist other properties or attend training.
