Groundskeeper – Community Maintenance

About the role

Greystar is seeking a reliable Groundskeeper to maintain the appearance and safety of the Watervue community. The role involves daily inspections, litter removal, lock changes, and supporting the service team to ensure high curb‑appeal and resident satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Inspect the community throughout the day to remove litter, debris, and pet droppings, keeping common areas and amenities neat.
• Remove trash from vacant apartments before the make‑ready process, transfer it to dumpsters or storage, and maintain storage areas.
• Complete assigned minor and routine service requests and assist the make‑ready specialist during turn processes.
• Change all locks according to property policy and ensure pool‑area gates operate safely and meet code requirements.
• Distribute notices and communications to residents as needed.
• Notify supervisors of any hazards or potentially dangerous situations for residents, team members, or guests.
• Provide courteous customer service, answer resident questions, and respond sensitively to maintenance‑related complaints.
• Follow Greystar’s safety and risk‑management policies, attend safety meetings, complete required OSHA training, and promptly report accidents or incidents.

Required profile

• Valid driver’s license to operate a golf cart on the property.
• Physical ability to stand, walk, bend, climb ladders, lift up to 25 lb independently (50 lb with assistance), and work in all weather conditions.
• Flexibility to work a variable schedule, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and on‑call duties.
• Capability to identify and report hazards, ensuring a safe environment for residents and staff.
• Willingness to attend training, safety meetings, and comply with all safety regulations.
