Grants Lifecycle Specialist – Federal Grants Administration

About the role

Connexus Hub is looking for a Grants Lifecycle Specialist to support the U.S. Department of Labor’s Employment and Training Administration. The role covers the full grant life cycle—from pre‑award review through award management, audit resolution, and closeout.

Key responsibilities

• Pre‑screen grant applications, schedule merit review panels, and facilitate panel deliberations.
• Enter and validate application data in GrantSolutions and prepare correspondence such as welcome and rejection letters.
• Create recipient and grant numbers, assemble award packages, and submit them for approval.
• Redact personally identifiable information from abstracts and narratives within three business days of award announcements.
• Conduct audit resolution activities, prepare Initial, Preliminary, and Final Determinations, and manage closeout packages.
• Verify financial reports against expenditures, reconcile discrepancies, and certify property certification forms.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or four years of relevant experience.
• Strong written and oral communication abilities.
• Ability to obtain a favorable National Agency Check with Inquiries and a HSPD‑12 credential.
• Experience with federal grants or cooperative agreements is preferred.
• Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.

• Familiarity with 2 CFR Part 200 (Uniform Guidance) preferred.
