About the role
The Grant Planner for the Criminal Justice Unit supports the Criminal Justice Coordinating Council by developing, managing, and reporting on grant programs that improve law‑enforcement, rehabilitation, and crime‑reduction outcomes across Georgia.
Key responsibilities
- Research, draft, and submit federal and state grant proposals aligned with criminal‑justice priorities.
- Develop analytical reports, strategic plans, and data‑driven recommendations.
- Coordinate workshops, training sessions, focus groups, and related events.
- Collaborate with Grant Specialists to manage budgets and approve expenditures.
- Monitor compliance, conduct on‑site evaluations, and produce progress reports.
- Create informational packages, fact sheets, newsletters, and policy manuals.
- Deliver presentations to diverse stakeholder audiences.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in criminal justice, public administration, social science, or a related field.
- At least two years of experience in grant writing, policy development, or criminal‑justice program administration.
- Strong analytical, writing, and communication abilities.
- Ability to travel occasionally, including overnight trips.
