Graduate Stress Engineer I (2027)

About the role

Airbus is launching its 2027 Graduate Stress Engineer I programme, starting in June 2027. The two‑year development journey combines on‑the‑job experience with structured training to prepare you for a career in aerospace structural analysis.

Key responsibilities

• Review and interpret aircraft damage reports and verify repair solutions.
• Perform document analyses supporting trade studies and certification projects.
• Use tools such as Hypermesh, MS Excel, Google Suite and an Airbus proprietary analysis application.
• Learn Airbus sizing methods, certification documentation requirements and structural analysis concepts.
• Complete at least one rotational placement, including possible overseas assignments, to broaden technical exposure.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Aeronautical, Civil or Mechanical Engineering with strong emphasis on structural design and mechanics of materials (Master’s degree a plus).
• Fluent written and spoken English.
• Team‑oriented mindset with a drive for innovation.
• Self‑awareness and willingness to take ownership of personal development.
• Eligibility to work in the United States without sponsorship.
