Graduate Industrial Engineer I – Global Graduate Programme

About the role

Airbus is looking for a recent graduate to join a two‑year Global Graduate development journey as an Industrial Engineer focused on the Airbus Operating System (AOS). You will be immersed in a structured programme that blends technical work, leadership training and rotational assignments.

Key responsibilities

• Deployment (50%): develop and secure the AOS deployment roadmap, advise senior plant managers, facilitate workshops and pilot the first implementation on a new final assembly line.
• Development, industrial assessment and diagnosis (20%): support creation of AOS standards, assess implementation maturity, participate in industrial task forces and drive continuous‑improvement solutions.
• Coaching and training (30%): deliver AOS training across the production line, grow managers’ autonomy, co‑lead training development and promote best practices within the manufacturing community.

Required profile

• Degree in Industrial, Aerospace, Mechanical Engineering or a related field (0‑3 years experience).
• Strong communication, active listening and proactive problem‑solving abilities.
• Knowledge of industrial engineering, quality tools, logistics engineering and process optimisation (APICS basic, Lean/Six Sigma Black Belt, Kepner‑Tregoe).
• Fluency in the local language and English at negotiation level, eligible to work in the US without sponsorship, and willingness to travel (≈10 % domestic/international).
