About the role
The 30‑month Supply Chain MBA Development Rotational Program at Applied Materials rotates new graduates through Purchasing/Sourcing, Project/Program Management, and Supplier Account Management. After the rotations, participants move into a final placement such as Materials Project Manager or Supplier Business Manager.
Key responsibilities
- Issue RFQs, analyze proposals, negotiate prices, execute orders and ensure delivery for new product integration.
- Develop procurement strategies to obtain components at lowest cost while maintaining quality and reliability.
- Forecast and communicate engineering, materials and manufacturing requirements to suppliers.
- Perform make‑versus‑buy analysis and coordinate demand signals through MRP to minimize inventory.
- Manage supplier performance, risk assessments and resolve quality issues in partnership with engineering and quality teams.
- Generate and publish key process indicators, track landed‑cost targets and support materials change control.
Required profile
- MBA in Supply Chain Management with a technical undergraduate degree.
- Good academic standing, preferred GPA ≥ 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.
- Experience with ERP systems and data‑driven decision making.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications for sourcing.
- Flexible, results‑driven mindset and willingness to complete the full 30‑month program.
Required skills
- Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) technology exposure.
- Advanced Excel and data‑analytics capabilities.
- Six Sigma Green Belt certification (preferred).
- APICS CPIM or APICS CSCP certification (preferred).
- PMP certification (preferred).

- Salary range $78,000 – $107,500 per year.
