Global Product Support Engineer III

About the role

Applied Materials is seeking a Global Product Support Engineer III to develop procedures, support new semiconductor equipment, and collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and quality teams. The role focuses on creating best‑known methods, troubleshooting, and delivering training for customers worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Develop new procedures and Best Known Methods (BKMs) for servicing new products.
• Contribute to the FMECA process and own first chamber build & test in the lab.
• Collaborate with Engineering to resolve product issues and with Manufacturing on final test procedures.
• Partner with Quality & Reliability to address top field issues and lead CAPA processes.
• Conduct failure analysis and create technical product manuals, Customer Engineering Notices, and Internal Service Bulletins.
• Collect qualification data, develop training packages, and train Customer Engineers and Technical Product Support staff.

• Demonstrates conceptual and practical expertise in product support and related disciplines.
• Understands best practices, market competition, and integration across functions.
• Acts as a resource for less‑experienced colleagues and can lead small projects.
• Solves complex problems using multiple sources of information.
• Communicates difficult information clearly and builds consensus.
