Global Molding Procurement Manager

About the role

The Global Molding Procurement Manager will lead the Molding category across 3M’s USAC region, driving cost‑saving initiatives and strategic sourcing. This role partners with internal stakeholders and external suppliers to ensure the delivery of high‑quality molded components that meet cost, schedule, and performance targets.

Key responsibilities

• Provide leadership to the Molding Category team in the USAC region.
• Own category strategy across 3M businesses and divisions, acting as the strategic procurement lead for outsourced molding.
• Develop and execute cost‑reduction programs, including Should‑Cost modeling and best‑practice procurement processes.
• Lead supplier selection, negotiate contracts, and manage complex supplier relationships.
• Support new‑product introductions (NPI) and drive dual‑sourcing and risk‑reduction strategies.
• Collaborate with Manufacturing, R&D, Marketing, Finance, and Supply Chain Operations to align sourcing with business goals.
• Drive cash‑improvement initiatives in line with global policy.

Required profile

• Significant experience in strategic procurement, preferably within outsourced molding or related manufacturing sectors.
• Demonstrated ability to lead cross‑functional teams and influence senior stakeholders.
• Strong analytical skills with a track record of delivering cost savings and process improvements.
• Experience negotiating complex contracts, including supplier‑managed inventory and consignment arrangements.
