General Neurologist (Physician) – Baptist

About the role

Ochsner Health, a leading health system since 1942, is seeking a dedicated staff physician to join its Baptist campus. Key responsibilities

• Examine patients, diagnose neurological conditions, and prescribe appropriate medications and treatment plans.
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to develop and implement comprehensive care plans.
• Document patient encounters accurately in the Electronic Health Record (EHR) and ensure proper coding of visits.
• Order additional evaluations, make referrals, and follow up on patient progress.
• Adhere to all hospital policies, credentialing standards, and regulatory requirements.

Required profile

• Board‑certified or board‑eligible in Neurology and a licensed MD/DO willing to maintain clinical practice.
• Ability to travel between Ochsner facilities as needed.
• Willingness to handle hazardous drugs and comply with safety and privacy regulations.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems for patient documentation.
• Knowledge of medical coding for accurate billing and compliance.
