Full‑Time Instructor – Dental Hygiene

About the role

Atlanta Technical College seeks a qualified Full‑Time Instructor to teach Dental Hygiene in the Health and Public Safety Department. The role involves classroom, lab, and clinical instruction on the main campus, supporting student success and program accreditation.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and deliver curriculum in classroom, dental lab, and clinical settings.
• Maintain grade books, student records, and compliance with accreditation standards.
• Monitor student use of supplies, equipment, and laboratory safety.
• Advise and counsel students, assist with recruitment and job placement.
• Participate in departmental meetings, committees, and accreditation reporting.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Dental Hygiene from a regionally accredited institution.
• Three or more years of paid full‑time dental hygiene practice and teaching experience.
• Georgia State Licensure as a Dental Hygienist in good standing.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification and Local Anesthesia certification.

Required skills

• Proficiency in dental hygiene clinical procedures.
• Operation of dental lab equipment and clinical instruments.
• Use of computer software for dental education and record‑keeping.
