Full-time Weekend Licensed Nursing Assistant – Surgical Services

About the role

The Licensed Nursing Assistant (LNA) works under the supervision of the Clinical Director and RN to provide patient care during weekend shifts (Friday‑Sunday) in surgical services. The role supports the care plan, ensures patient safety, and contributes to a high‑quality patient experience.

Key responsibilities

• Attend to daily living and safety needs of assigned patients, including hygiene, comfort, and environment.
• Obtain and record vital signs, heights, weights, and perform blood glucose checks.
• Assist with discontinuation of urinary catheters and peripheral IVs as directed by RN/LPN.
• Provide skin‑care interventions permitted by state regulations.
• Perform hourly patient rounds, bedside shift reports, and maintain communication boards.
• Operate video monitor equipment for patient observation when assigned, documenting interventions and alerts.

Required profile

• Minimum 18 years of age with a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Current valid Arizona LNA license and BLS certification (American Heart Association or Red Cross).
• Previous experience as a Nursing Assistant or successful completion of a nursing assistant certification program.
• For home health/hospice assignments: valid Arizona driver’s license, clean driving record, and level‑one fingerprint clearance card.
