Full-Time Vascular Surgeon (Faculty Position)

About the role

Ochsner Health and LSU Health Shreveport are seeking a full‑time faculty physician to join the Division of Vascular and Endovascular Surgery. The position is at the Assistant or Associate Professor level and involves both clinical practice and academic responsibilities.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver high‑volume open and endovascular vascular surgery for complex aneurysms, aorto‑iliac disease, limb salvage, dialysis access, carotid disease, TCAR, PE/DVT, venous disease, and trauma.
• Provide comprehensive outpatient clinic care and manage a large referral base across Louisiana, East Texas, and Southwest Arkansas.
• Teach and mentor surgical residents, medical students, and future vascular fellows.
• Engage in clinical and/or basic‑science research with an expectation to publish.

Required profile

• Fellowship‑trained and board eligible/board certified in Vascular Surgery.
• Demonstrated experience in both open and endovascular procedures.
• Commitment to academic medicine, education, and research.

Required skills

• Open vascular surgery techniques.
• Endovascular procedures, including use of intravascular ultrasound.
• Proficiency with ceiling‑mounted imaging systems.
