Full-Time Unarmed Security Officer - Technology Site

About the role

Allied Universal, a security and facility services company, is hiring a full-time unarmed patrol security officer for a technology, media and telecommunications site in Hillsboro, Oregon. The officer provides a visible, professional presence to deter security incidents and supports employees, visitors and contractors.

Key responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors and contractors by carrying out security procedures, site policies and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the facility, data center areas, exterior grounds, parking areas and perimeter to spot unusual activity and report observations.
• Monitor access points, verify visitor and contractor authorization, and keep accurate visitor, incident and patrol records.
• Respond calmly to incidents, alarms and critical situations, notifying the right people and emergency responders as site procedures direct.
• Help deter unauthorized access, theft and vandalism through a professional presence and timely reporting.

Required profile

• At least 18 years old for unarmed roles (21+ for armed roles).
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to a background investigation and a drug screen as conditions of employment.
• Licensing may be required depending on state and local laws.
