Full-Time Tenure-Track Faculty – Creative Styling for Media

About the role

FIT’s School of Art and Design seeks a full‑time tenure‑track faculty member to lead the Styling for Creative Media BFA program. The professor will guide students at the intersection of styling, image‑making, technology and contemporary visual culture, preparing them for careers in commercial, editorial, cultural and experiential media.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and teach undergraduate courses in wardrobe, prop, set, event and lifestyle styling.
• Integrate emerging technologies such as virtual production, computational workflows and immersive experiences into the curriculum.
• Mentor students on creative direction, image‑making and professional practice.
• Contribute to program development, assessment and industry partnership initiatives.
• Participate in departmental service, research and scholarly activities.

Required profile

• Demonstrated professional expertise in commercial styling across photography, moving image and digital content.
• Strong portfolio showcasing wardrobe, prop, set, event and lifestyle projects.
• Experience with contemporary visual culture and emerging media technologies.
• Commitment to teaching, mentorship and academic scholarship.

Required skills

• Styling for photography, video and digital platforms.
• Knowledge of virtual production and computational workflow tools.
• Ability to integrate immersive media techniques into coursework.
