Full-Time Diesel Technology Faculty (9-Month)

About the role

The University of Arkansas Pulaski Technical College seeks a full‑time faculty member to teach Diesel Technology courses for a nine‑month academic term. The instructor will deliver high‑quality classroom and hands‑on training to associate‑degree and certificate students.

Key responsibilities

• Teach 30 credit hours per academic year covering basic and advanced diesel topics.
• Develop and deliver curricula for courses such as Diesel Fundamentals, Power Trains, Air Conditioning Systems, Tractor and Trailer Servicing, Electrical Systems, Advanced Diesel Diagnostics, Hydraulics, Fuel Injection, Brake Systems, and related internship labs.
• Assess student performance, provide feedback, and maintain academic records.
• Participate in departmental meetings, curriculum reviews, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Diesel Technology, Mechanical Engineering, or a closely related field (advanced degree preferred).
• Demonstrated teaching experience at the post‑secondary level or equivalent industry experience.
• Strong communication skills and a commitment to student success.
