About the role

The Department of Orthopedics at Ochsner LSU Health Shreveport seeks a fellowship‑trained orthopedic surgeon for a full‑time academic appointment as an Assistant or Associate Professor. The role blends high‑volume surgical practice with teaching and mentorship in a Level I trauma and Level II pediatric trauma center.

Key responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive orthopedic surgical care for a diverse patient population, including trauma and pediatric cases.
• Teach, mentor, and guide medical students, residents, and fellows, fostering academic growth and clinical excellence.

Required profile

• Fellowship‑trained orthopedic surgeon eligible for active Louisiana medical licensure.
• Board Certified or Board Eligible (BC/BE) in Orthopedic Surgery.
• Qualified for an academic appointment as Assistant or Associate Professor.
