Full-Time Academic Hospitalist Physician

About the role

Ochsner LSU Health System – Monroe Medical Center and LSU Health Sciences Center are seeking an Academic Hospitalist physician. The position requires board certification or eligibility in Internal Medicine and eligibility for an active Louisiana medical license. Graduating Internal Medicine residents are welcome to apply, and the role carries an Assistant or Associate Professor appointment with a 7‑on/7‑off schedule. J‑1/H‑1 visas are accepted and a green‑card sponsorship pathway is available.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of physicians and nurses to develop customized care plans for each patient.
• Provide both direct patient care and teaching responsibilities within an academic environment.

Required profile

• Board certified or board eligible in Internal Medicine.
• Eligible for an active Louisiana medical license.
• Ability to work on a 7‑on/7‑off schedule and hold an Assistant or Associate Professor rank.
