About the role

Ochsner LSU Health Shreveport and LSU Health Sciences Center – Shreveport are seeking a Board Certified or Board Eligible Urologist to join their full‑time clinical faculty. The role combines patient care, teaching responsibilities, and participation in a fully accredited Urology Residency Training Program. Candidates must be eligible for a Louisiana medical license.

Key responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive urology patient care across the Ochsner LSU Health Shreveport Academic Medical Center and two affiliated teaching institutions.
  • Teach and mentor residents and medical students, contributing to their clinical and surgical education.
  • Perform robotic surgeries using several da Vinci surgical systems, including a dual‑console unit, for both patient treatment and resident training.

Required profile

  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Urology.
  • Eligibility for a Louisiana medical license.
  • Commitment to academic duties, including resident and medical student education, within a full‑time faculty appointment.
