About the role

Ochsner LSU Health Shreveport and LSU Health Sciences Center‑Shreveport are recruiting two General Cardiology faculty members with a focus on teaching, clinical practice, and translational research. Appointments are at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor and require board certification or eligibility and eligibility for Louisiana medical licensure.

Key responsibilities

Provide teaching and mentorship to medical students, residents, and fellows.
Conduct clinical and/or translational research, with seed funding available for qualified candidates.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and contribute to the leadership of the cardiovascular program.

Required profile

Board certified or board eligible in General Cardiology.
Eligible for Louisiana state medical licensure.
Demonstrated interest in academic teaching and research.
