Founding Product Designer

About the role

Salient is building AI agents for regulated financial services and is looking for its first product designer. You will work closely with product, engineering, customers, and leadership to shape how banks and lenders configure, launch, and monitor AI‑driven workflows.

Key responsibilities

• Own end‑to‑end product design from research and concept through launch and iteration.
• Design customer interfaces for configuring, testing, launching, monitoring, and improving AI agents.
• Build workflows for conversation review, quality assurance, approvals, escalations, and human intervention.
• Create a design system and shared product patterns across multiple agents and future products.
• Collaborate with customers to gather feedback and validate new ideas.

Required profile

• 5+ years of product design experience, preferably in AI‑powered or complex B2B enterprise products.
• Proven ability to take ambiguous problems from concept to launch and influence product decisions.
• Experience working directly with customers and incorporating feedback into design.
• Track record of building or significantly improving a design system.

Required skills

• Figma for UI design and rapid prototyping.
• AI‑assisted prototyping tools to explore ideas quickly.
