Founding Applied AI Engineer

About the role

Atlas is building an AI‑powered travel and hotel concierge for high‑end customers. As a Founding Applied AI Engineer you will shape the next generation of its product suite, turning complex user requests into seamless, personalized experiences.

Key responsibilities

• Design and ship AI recommendation and booking flows for hotels, dining, and flights.
• Develop retrieval‑augmented generation (RAG) systems for dynamic travel searches.
• Build preference engines that continuously learn from member interactions.
• Create lightweight AI orchestration layers integrated with internal tools such as Zendesk and Slack.
• Ensure low‑latency, high‑availability performance for production AI services.

Required profile

• 5+ years of software development experience in modern languages (Python, Node.js, Go, etc.).
• 3+ years deploying and scaling cloud applications on AWS, GCP, or similar.
• Proven ability to integrate large language models (OpenAI, Anthropic, Hugging Face) into production systems.
• Strong product instincts and a collaborative mindset with product, design, and operations teams.
