Foundations Engineer – AI Agents (Onsite, San Francisco)

About the role

Rox is building the world’s first revenue operating system, combining autonomous revenue agents with human sellers. As a Foundations Engineer focused on agents, you will work on the backend platform that powers intelligent, multi‑step workflows for top revenue teams.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement multi‑step, AI‑driven workflows that coordinate autonomous agents.
• Develop, train, and evaluate large language models (LLMs) and integrate them into production services.
• Collaborate with designers, engineers, and customers to iterate quickly and ship high‑impact features.
• Ensure reliability, scalability, and performance of the agent swarm infrastructure.
• Continuously improve the intelligence and robustness of the platform through research and experimentation.

Required profile

• Strong background in backend engineering and platform development.
• Experience with AI/ML pipelines, especially model training and deployment.
• Ability to work cross‑functionally in a fast‑moving, high‑impact environment.
• Passion for building elegant, reliable systems that empower users.

Required skills

• Backend development (languages and frameworks as used at Rox).
• Machine‑learning model lifecycle management.
• Working knowledge of large language models and prompt engineering.
