Food Safety Supervisor - Credit Union 1 Amphitheater

About the role

Legends Global is hiring a Food Safety Supervisor for its Credit Union 1 Amphitheater venue in Tinley Park. The supervisor ensures that all food operations run safely and in line with the HACCP plan, and acts as a representative of the venue during County Health Department inspections at events.

Key responsibilities

• Before concerts: inspect all food stands to identify and fix potential health violations, including checking that temperature logs are posted on refrigeration and hot-holding units, that production logs are available to cooks, that thermometers, small wares and gloves are accessible, and that hand towel and soap dispensers are stocked and that hand-washing stations have working hot water.
• During concerts: accompany County Health Officials on site while the kitchens are running, help them review the operation and fix any violations they note, then continue walking the venue before and after the inspection to find and correct other issues.
• Encourage the team to follow safety policies, report unsafe conditions, complete company-wide and job-specific safety training, and report injuries and illnesses to the risk management system (Origami Risk) on the same day.

Required profile

• Experience in the food and beverage industry.
• Experience with health departments.
• Proven management or supervisory experience.
• Ability to stand and move quickly for an entire shift, and to lift and carry items up to 45 pounds, occasionally more.
• Ability to work between warm and cold environments, such as a workstation and coolers.
• Hours may be extended or irregular, including nights, weekends and holidays.

Required skills

• ServSafe certification.
• Good communication and customer service skills.

The pay is $21.00 per hour.
