Focal Director, EPI Service Business Unit

About the role

Applied Materials is seeking a Focal Director to lead the EPI Service Business Unit, driving the service product portfolio for the semiconductor industry. The role oversees the full product lifecycle, aligning strategy with customer and business expectations.

Key responsibilities

• Build, mentor and manage a team of product managers and product line managers to execute a global service product roadmap.
• Define product vision based on market analysis and customer requirements, and communicate features to internal and external stakeholders.
• Gather customer feedback, translate the voice of the customer into market requirement documents, and develop service strategies.
• Lead financial forecasting, business case assessment and analytics for the service product portfolio.
• Collaborate with engineering, marketing, operations, sales and field engineers to ensure seamless product launches and field execution.

Required profile

• Minimum 10 years of experience in epitaxy, with expertise in product development, improvement and field support.
• Proven track record of launching complex products and leading cross‑functional teams.
• Strong market understanding of competitive landscape and customer needs.
• Data‑driven decision making with proficiency in data analysis.
• Excellent communication skills for conveying product value to internal and external audiences.
