Floating Service Supervisor

About the role

The Floating Service Supervisor ensures that all interior and exterior areas of the community meet Greystar’s standards for cleanliness, safety, and functionality. This role combines hands‑on technical work with oversight of vendors and the make‑ready process for vacant units.

Key responsibilities

• Diagnose and resolve resident service requests and routine maintenance issues in accordance with safety codes and company policies.
• Manage the make‑ready process, including pre‑move‑out inspections, punch‑list creation, vendor scheduling, and final quality checks.
• Develop and enforce standards for the appearance of grounds, amenities, building exteriors, and common areas.
• Inspect work performed by team members, contractors, and vendors to ensure compliance with quality and scope.
• Maintain inventory of spare parts, order supplies within budget, and complete monthly preventative maintenance tasks.
• Assist the Community Manager with budgeting for repairs, capital projects, and cost‑control initiatives.

Required profile

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience in property or building maintenance.
• Proven experience with hand and power tools, mechanical equipment, and measuring devices.
• Strong customer‑service and communication skills for interacting with residents and team members.
• Basic computer proficiency (internet, word processing, spreadsheets, database management); property‑management system experience preferred.

Required skills

• EPA certification Type I and II or Universal for sealed HVAC systems.
• Valid driver’s license for operating a golf cart on the property.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in a support capacity.
