Floating Assistant Community Manager (Ascent)

About the role

Greystar is seeking a Floating Assistant Community Manager for its Ascent community. The role supports the Community Manager in daily financial and operational tasks, ensuring accurate accounting, rent collection, and reporting for a stabilized, mid‑rise property of 650 units.

Key responsibilities

• Collect and post rent, fees, and other payments; prepare daily bank deposits and reconcile accounts.
• Process invoices, code charges to the appropriate chart of accounts, and manage vendor communications.
• Operate Yardi/OneSite property management software, entering transactions and maintaining data integrity.
• Prepare monthly close‑out financial reports and assist with budgeting.
• Review resident files for delinquent balances, communicate with residents, and enforce lease terms to maximize revenue.
• Assist with eviction procedures, including notice requirements and court representation as needed.

Required profile

• 3–5 years of experience in property management accounting or related financial operations.
• Demonstrated ability to handle daily financial transactions and bank reconciliations.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow established procedures.
• Excellent communication skills for interacting with residents, vendors, and owners.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Yardi or OneSite property management software.
• Fundamental accounting and bookkeeping knowledge.
