About the role
Applied Intuition is seeking a Fleet Reliability Engineer to improve the uptime and safety of its vehicle fleet. You will work closely with engineering and operations teams to diagnose, fix, and prevent issues across a range of autonomous vehicle components.
Key responsibilities
- Perform root‑cause analysis on trending vehicle issues and implement long‑term, scalable fixes.
- Create, implement, and maintain testing procedures, diagnostic tools, and operational metrics to maximize fleet uptime and stability.
- Track system failures or under‑performance in the field and translate findings into stronger vehicle designs.
- Collaborate cross‑functionally on escalations and reliability improvements for demo and testing fleets.
Required profile
- BS/MS in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline.
- 5+ years of experience with automotive hardware and software.
- Hands‑on experience with AV components such as LiDAR, RADAR, and cameras.
Required skills
- Automotive communication protocols: CAN, CAN FD, LIN, Automotive Ethernet.
- Familiarity with CAN tools (Vector, PCAN View/Explorer).
- Experience flashing firmware/software updates on ECUs.
- Proficiency with collaboration tools: Slack, Jira, Confluence.
- Software/hardware reliability testing and root‑cause analysis.
