Fitness Trainer – Group Classes & Member Support

About the role

Planet Fitness is seeking an energetic Fitness Trainer to lead its group fitness program (PE@PF) and support members in achieving their health goals. You will design simple workout plans, guide proper equipment use, and help create a welcoming, judgement‑free environment.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, schedule and conduct PE@PF group classes, ensuring class frequency matches club size and traffic.
• Consult with members to set fitness goals, develop basic workout programs, and demonstrate safe equipment usage.
• Create engaging promotional ideas to boost class sign‑ups and produce bi‑weekly exercise updates.
• Assist front‑desk duties: answer phones, check‑in members, handle new‑member sign‑ups, give tours, and update member information.
• Respond promptly to member questions and concerns, escalating when necessary.
• Maintain cleanliness and appearance of the club and equipment areas.

Required profile

• Honest, punctual, and reliable with a strong work ethic.
• Excellent communication and organizational abilities.
• Passion for fitness, health, and delivering exceptional customer service.
• Ability to listen, empathize, and solve problems professionally.

Required skills

• Completed fitness trainer certification.
