FinOps Senior Site Reliability Engineer II

About the role

The FinOps Senior Site Reliability Engineer bridges engineering, operations, and financial governance to embed cost optimisation into cloud infrastructure. You will work on Azure and AWS environments, driving efficiency for compute, storage, AI workloads and networking while ensuring high reliability and performance.

Key responsibilities

• Lead cloud cost optimisation initiatives across Azure and AWS.
• Drive optimisation of compute, storage, AI, networking and managed services.
• Support enterprise AI, Generative AI and machine‑learning platforms.
• Implement governance, monitoring and financial accountability for AI and GPU‑enabled services.
• Develop Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and cloud automation solutions.
• Build CI/CD and GitOps pipelines to improve platform delivery.
• Automate manual processes and enable self‑service capabilities.
• Promote reusable patterns, templates and tooling for engineering efficiency.
• Mentor engineers and provide technical guidance on cloud, FinOps and platform initiatives.
• Lead technology evaluations, proofs of concept and platform modernisation efforts.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience in Site Reliability Engineering, Platform Engineering, Cloud Engineering, DevOps or Systems Engineering.
• Hands‑on experience with Azure, AWS, Kubernetes and Terraform.
• Proven track record implementing cloud automation and observability solutions.
• Experience leading cloud cost optimisation and FinOps initiatives.
• Experience supporting AI, machine‑learning or Generative AI platforms.
• FinOps certification is a plus.

• Base salary range $104,900 – $174,700 per year.
