Financial Planning and Analysis Manager

About the role

The Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) Manager will lead the budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting processes for the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences. This position partners with senior leadership to provide insight and analysis that supports strategic decision‑making and enhances the institution’s financial performance.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain annual budgets, quarterly forecasts, and long‑term financial plans.
• Prepare and present financial performance reports to executive leadership.
• Analyze variances, identify trends, and recommend corrective actions.
• Collaborate with department heads to align financial goals with operational objectives.
• Oversee the FP&A team, ensuring high‑quality analysis and timely deliverables.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
• Significant experience in financial planning, analysis, and reporting, preferably in a healthcare or academic environment.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate complex financial information to non‑financial stakeholders.
• Strong leadership and team‑management skills.
