Financial Examiner

About the role

The Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City is seeking a Financial Examiner to join its examination team in Omaha. You will help ensure the safety and soundness of the nation’s financial system while working in a supportive, inclusive environment.

Key responsibilities

• Independently review financial information, assess legal and regulatory compliance, and evaluate risks within banking organizations.
• Lead meetings with executive leaders at financial institutions and produce clear, concise written reports.
• Collaborate with team members, reach consensus across diverse audiences, and provide guidance to banking executives.
• Coach and mentor peers, share knowledge, and give constructive feedback to foster employee growth.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent work experience.
• Willingness to travel 20‑30% of the time.
• Effective use of Microsoft Office, web‑based applications, and email.
• Ability to work from the Oklahoma City office.
• Preferred: 2+ years banking experience, advanced degree, and demonstrated leadership.
