Financial Data Analyst (Hybrid – Brisbane, CA)

About the role

We are looking for a Financial Data Analyst to support accounting and finance operations. The role blends financial analysis, revenue operations, reconciliations, reporting, and process improvement with a strong emphasis on systems and automation. You will collaborate closely with Accounting, Operations, and Leadership, primarily using the Odoo ERP platform.

Key responsibilities

• Manage accounts receivable processes from quote‑to‑cash, including invoicing, reconciliations, and collections follow‑up.
• Maintain and audit sales commission structures in spreadsheets and Odoo.
• Partner with department leads to improve data accuracy and reporting processes in Odoo.
• Prepare monthly and quarterly reports on revenue, expenses, headcount, and operational KPIs.
• Support enhancements to sales and operational processes.
• Build and maintain financial models and operational analyses.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and headcount planning.
• Develop dashboards and KPI reporting for leadership.
• Present findings and recommendations to stakeholders.
• Identify repetitive finance tasks and automate them using AI tools.

Required profile

• BS/BA in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in FP&A, finance operations, revenue operations, business operations, or consulting.
• Strong Excel or Google Sheets skills, including financial modeling and pivot tables.
• Experience with SQL and BI tools such as Power BI or Looker.
• Understanding of accounting fundamentals, including revenue recognition and AR/AP processes.
• Comfortable writing scripts or automating workflows.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain financial insights clearly.
• Interest in leveraging AI to improve finance processes.
