Financial Controller

About the role

We are a well‑established luxury consumer products company seeking an experienced Financial Controller to lead our accounting operations and financial reporting. This high‑visibility role partners directly with executive leadership to ensure accurate financial data and support strategic decision‑making.

Key responsibilities

• Lead month‑end close activities and produce accurate financial statements.
• Supervise a small accounting team covering AP, AR, payroll, and general ledger functions.
• Prepare and review journal entries, reconciliations, and general ledger transactions.
• Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting in accordance with GAAP.
• Analyze revenue, expenses, budgeting activity, and operational variances.
• Support sales‑tax reporting and compliance initiatives.
• Maintain comprehensive financial records and documentation.
• Develop reporting and analytical tools for operational decision‑making.
• Partner with leadership on process improvement and financial initiatives.
• Support ERP system optimization and workflow enhancements.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 5–10+ years of accounting experience, including management of accounting teams.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards.
• Proven ability to lead month‑end close and produce accurate financial statements.

Required skills

• Advanced Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with ERP systems.
