Financial Accountant (Remote)

About the role

We are looking for a hands‑on Financial Accountant to join a fast‑growing healthcare group that operates an ambulatory surgery centre, a specialist practice with an e‑commerce division, and a direct‑to‑consumer wellness brand. Reporting to the Finance Director, you will manage day‑to‑day finance activities while supporting the preparation of monthly management accounts across the three entities.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare monthly management accounts, allocating income and expenses across departments and business units.
• Process month‑end journals – accruals, pre‑payments, depreciation, payroll, and inter‑company transactions.
• Perform balance‑sheet reconciliations, review control accounts and assist with board reporting.
• Maintain day‑to‑day bookkeeping, including daily and monthly bank reconciliations, credit‑card and merchant‑account reconciliations.
• Handle supplier invoices, accounts payable processing and procurement administration.
• Manage customer and patient billing, monitor debtor balances and resolve billing queries.
• Support payroll journal reviews and ensure correct tax and deduction treatment.
• Collaborate with operational teams to improve financial controls and reporting efficiency.

Required profile

• Strong bookkeeping background with experience in multi‑entity environments.
• Proven ability to prepare and analyse management accounts.
• Detail‑oriented approach to month‑end closing and reconciliations.
• Comfortable working with operational teams in a fast‑paced, collaborative setting.
