Finance Systems Engineer – FP&A Platforms

About the role

Anthropic is seeking a Finance & Strategy (FP&A) Systems Engineer to join its Finance Systems team. You will design, build, and maintain the platforms that power core financial planning, forecasting, and analytics, working closely with corporate finance stakeholders to translate business needs into reliable technical solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as primary administrator for the financial planning platform (Pigment), ensuring system health, performance, and security.
• Manage finance applications, user access, configurations, and version control to uphold governance standards.
• Provide technical support and troubleshooting for end‑users, addressing system‑related inquiries.
• Design, develop, and maintain financial models, workflows, and applications using in‑house tools and EPM platforms.
• Build and maintain secure dataflows and integrations via REST APIs connecting FP&A platforms to enterprise systems such as Workday Financials and Salesforce CRM.
• Create SQL‑based data models, ETL pipelines, and reporting infrastructure to support financial close, forecasting, and business intelligence.
• Partner with Finance & Strategy, Accounting, and other finance teams to understand problems and deliver AI‑enhanced solutions.
• Support monthly forecast, annual planning, workforce planning, OPEX forecasting, and balance‑sheet & cash‑flow processes.

Required profile

• Hands‑on experience with enterprise performance management (EPM) platforms such as Pigment or Anaplan.
• Proven ability to develop and maintain integrations between financial systems and data warehouses.
• Strong understanding of finance processes including budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.
• Collaborative mindset to work with finance stakeholders and translate requirements into technical designs.
