Finance Officer – New York

About the role

Emirates is seeking a Finance Officer to join its corporate finance team in New York City. The role will support the accurate processing and reconciliation of financial transactions for the region, ensuring compliance with Emirates Group procedures and local legislation.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and supervise the full accounts payable cycle, including invoice processing, supplier contract validation, and timely EFT payments.
• Drive the transition from paper invoices to EDI formats to improve efficiency.
• Oversee accounts receivable activities for passenger and cargo sales, ensuring receipts are processed, allocated, and banked within agreed time‑frames.
• Perform daily bank reconciliations, reconcile BSP and credit‑card settlements, and monitor under‑collections.
• Prepare and review AP/AR reports, resolve discrepancies, and support month‑end closing.
• Respond to supplier and customer queries promptly and maintain accurate records in the accounting system.

Required profile

• Relevant finance or accounting qualification or equivalent experience.
• Proven experience in accounts payable and/or accounts receivable within a corporate environment.
• Strong understanding of local financial regulations and Emirates Group procedures.
• Attention to detail with the ability to meet tight deadlines.

Required skills

• Knowledge of electronic data interchange (EDI) and electronic funds transfer (EFT) processes.
• Experience with bank reconciliation and general ledger (GL) modules.
• Familiarity with BSP and credit‑card settlement procedures.
