Finance Manager, Global FP&A

About the role

The Home Depot is hiring a Finance Manager, Global FP&A, based at its Store Support Center. The manager provides full financial leadership, direction and analysis to the functional management team and acts as a member of the strategic leadership team for the function, helping drive functional metrics, control costs and create shareholder value.

Key responsibilities

• Understand the business and identify and implement process and organizational improvements, while planning and ensuring execution of department objectives.
• Take part in preparing the annual budget, review monthly expenditures and metrics, and recommend financial plans for the function.
• Lead, plan and coordinate work teams efficiently, using metrics to track performance and manage workload.
• Ensure operational processes and procedures comply with established policies.
• Drive key functional financial metrics.
• Build a strategic alliance with business partners and take part in cross-functional activities that solve business issues and strengthen competitiveness.
• Facilitate cross-functional communication with Finance, Human Resources, Real Estate, Operations and Information Systems.

Required profile

• Age of 18 or older and legally permitted to work in the United States.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a field related to the job.
• 5 years of preferred work experience.
• Typically reports to a Director-level manager; the position has no direct reports.
• Travel of 5% to 20% of the time, mostly overnight; mostly sits in a comfortable indoor setting.

Required skills

• Knowledge of accounting principles and practices, and analysis and reporting of financial data.
• Knowledge of business and management principles used in strategic planning and resource allocation.
• Project management skills, prioritization and multitasking.
• Judgment and decision-making, weighing costs and benefits of potential actions.
