Finance Director

About the role

The Finance Director leads CRRC’s accounting, grants, contracts, and human resources teams, ensuring accurate financial management and compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. Reporting to the Executive Director, this senior position supports mission programs through strong financial oversight and strategic budgeting.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and mentor staff across accounting, grant administration, contracts, and HR.
• Maintain accounting records in compliance with GAAP and ensure payroll, tax, AP/AR accuracy.
• Prepare monthly financial reports, annual audit packages, Single Audit, and Form 990.
• Develop and negotiate Indirect Cost Rate Agreements (NICRA) with federal agencies.
• Oversee end‑to‑end grant and contract administration, ensuring timely reporting and compliance.
• Administer HR functions including payroll, benefits, 403b contributions, and insurance.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, or related field; CPA preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of accounting/bookkeeping experience, preferably in nonprofit or grant‑funded environments.
• Strong knowledge of federal purchasing, procurement procedures, and grant regulations.
• Demonstrated ability to prioritize tasks, meet multiple deadlines, and work both independently and collaboratively.

Required skills

• CPA certification.
• Proficiency with accounting software and standard office applications.
• Experience with federal grant budgets and compliance reporting.
• Familiarity with nonprofit audit processes.
