Finance and Operations Lead

About the role

We are looking for a Finance and Operations Lead to own and scale our financial infrastructure as we double headcount. Reporting directly to the CEO, you will ensure money moves correctly, contracts are safe, the cap table stays clean, and leadership has clear visibility into performance.

Key responsibilities

• Manage end‑to‑end spend and card processes using Ramp, including issuance, policy enforcement, approvals, expense review, and bill payment.
• Partner with external accountants while owning internal financial accuracy, reconciliations, close support, and data integrity.
• Maintain the cap table in Pulley, handling option grants, exercises, terminations, financing events, and investor requests.
• Build and own monthly forecasting, variance analysis, department‑level budgets, and reporting against spend.
• Review, negotiate, and manage vendor contracts; act as first point of contact for commercial/legal matters.
• Oversee insurance broker relationships and renewal cycles for D&O, EPLI, general liability, and other coverages.
• Support board and investor processes by maintaining the underlying financial model and answering detailed questions.
• Lead strategic, cross‑functional projects that lack a natural owner, providing quantitative analysis and modeling.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing finance operations in a fast‑growing startup or high‑growth environment.
• Demonstrated ability to design and implement spend controls, budgeting processes, and financial reporting.
• Comfort working directly with CEOs, board members, investors, and external counsel.
• Strong analytical mindset with a track record of handling ambiguous, cross‑functional initiatives.
