Field Service Technician II – Onshore & Offshore

About the role

Enerflex is seeking a Field Service Technician II to deliver on‑site service, repairs, and installations for electric generators, switchgear, and engine packages. The role covers both onshore and offshore locations, requiring travel and the operation of company service vehicles.

Key responsibilities

• Perform field service, troubleshooting, and repairs on generators, diesel and gas engines, LPG systems, and electronic controls.
• Install, commission, and hook up rental generators in compliance with local, state, and federal codes.
• Complete Level 1‑3 scheduled maintenance, inspections, and removal of equipment for repair or replacement.
• Prepare accurate field service reports, expense reports, and timesheets on a daily basis.
• Provide basic leadership and training to new field technicians and participate in on‑call rotation.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of power‑generation field service experience.
• Valid driver’s license with clean abstract and willingness to drive long distances.
• Ability to lead, motivate, and supervise team members.
• Physical ability to lift up to 25 lb regularly and up to 50 lb occasionally.

Required skills

• Hands‑on experience with electric generators, switchgear, diesel and gas engines, and LPG systems.
• Proficiency using test equipment such as electronic volt‑ohm meters, megometers, battery and starting analyzers, and load banks.
• Knowledge of control panel and junction box layout drafting and ladder wiring diagram development from P&ID.
• Familiarity with engine brands Jenbacher, Waukesha, and Caterpillar (asset).
