Field Service Supervisor – Carlsbad

About the role

The Field Service Supervisor leads and coordinates all field service activities for Enerflex in the Carlsbad area. This role ensures safety, regulatory compliance, and customer satisfaction while meeting revenue and profit targets.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise, schedule, and monitor technicians, optimizing assignments to reduce response time and travel.
• Train technicians on technical competencies, documentation, and major service decisions.
• Monitor field service expenses, vehicle maintenance, and generate service reports.
• Ensure HSE standards are applied and address unsafe conditions promptly.
• Lead overhauls, installations, startups, and diagnostics on major OEM equipment.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED with advanced vocational/technical training.
• 10+ years of relevant field service experience, preferably with CAT or Waukesha certifications.
• Valid driver’s license and own tools of the trade.

Required skills

• CAT Gas I, CAT Gas II, CAT Electrical, Ariel Basic, Ariel Mechanical certifications.
• Experience with CAT 3500 ADEM III/IV, CAT 3500ULB, Waukesha VHP, CAT 3600 ADEM III/IV, CAT 3600 Master Mechanic, CAT Failure Analysis, Waukesha 9390.
• Advanced mechanical and electrical troubleshooting, installation, and diagnostics of major OEM panels (Murphy, Altronic, Allen Bradley).
• Interpretation of compressor performance data, engine horsepower calculations, and coupling alignment using laser and dial indicator methods.
• Reading and applying P&IDs, blueprints, installation instructions, and technical manuals.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and ability to learn company-specific applications.
