Field Service Professional – Smart Home Technician

About the role

Join Vivint Smart Home’s field team in Roanoke, VA, installing cutting‑edge smart home technology while helping customers upgrade to safer, more connected homes. You’ll combine technical expertise with consultative sales to deliver complete peace of mind.

Key responsibilities

• Install, service, and troubleshoot security cameras, smart locks, and home automation systems.
• Assess customer homes on‑site and recommend upgraded equipment or service plans.
• Educate homeowners on system operation and best practices.
• Participate in ongoing coaching and leadership training to advance within the national organization.

Required profile

• Sales‑oriented mindset with experience in retail, B2C sales, insurance, or service sales (preferred).
• Customer‑first attitude, integrity, and ability to build rapport with diverse clients.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record and ability to pass background and licensing checks.

Required skills

• Installation and troubleshooting of smart home devices such as security cameras, smart locks, and automation systems.
