About the role
Join Philips as a Field Service Engineer in Houston, providing on‑site installation, troubleshooting, service and maintenance of advanced medical imaging equipment. You will work directly with customers to ensure reliable operation of critical healthcare technology.
Key responsibilities
- Provide exceptional customer service by adhering to entitlements, setting expectations and meeting arrival times.
- Understand the customer’s business and competitive environment to generate service revenue.
- Participate in the regional work team, improve processes and identify training gaps.
- Perform administrative duties such as timesheets, work orders, expense reports and preventative maintenance documentation in compliance with Philips, state and federal regulations.
- Utilize tools, support resources and escalation processes to resolve electronic, network and mechanical problems promptly.
- Travel across the Houston area, with average driving time of 1‑4 hours daily and occasional overnight stays.
Required profile
- 5+ years of experience servicing x‑ray, image‑guided therapy or magnetic resonance imaging equipment.
- Associate degree in electronics or equivalent; BSEE/BSEET/BSME/BSMET preferred.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including overtime, weekends and on‑call rotations.
- Willingness to work in office, remote and hospital environments while adhering to safety requirements.
- Capability to safely handle radiation sources and wear required personal protective equipment.
