Field Service Engineer – Food Processing & Packaging Machinery

About the role

We are looking for a Field Service Engineer to install, commission, maintain and repair food processing and packaging machinery for customers across the UK. The role is field‑based, requiring travel and occasional overnight stays. You will work with a variety of electrical and mechanical equipment in the food manufacturing sector.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance and breakdown repairs on food processing and packaging equipment.
• Install and commission new machinery at customer sites.
• Diagnose and resolve electrical and mechanical faults.
• Provide technical support and advice to customers.
• Complete service reports and documentation.
• Ensure all work is performed safely and to high quality standards.
• Build strong relationships with customers and represent the business professionally.

Required profile

• Previous experience as a Service Engineer, Maintenance Engineer or Field Service Engineer.
• Strong electrical and/or mechanical fault‑finding abilities.
• Experience with manufacturing, packaging or processing machinery.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Willingness to travel and stay away from home when required.
