Field Sales Representative – Fluid Control Systems (New Jersey)

About the role

The Field Sales Representative will manage a sales territory covering the New York metro area and surrounding markets. The focus is on outside sales and account management of fluid control, filtration and handling products for industrial customers.

Key responsibilities

• Solidify and further develop existing relationships with key customers.
• Identify and sell to new prospects from current clients, referrals and other sources.
• Provide product education, assist in product selection and deliver training to customers.
• Prepare and submit a weekly sales call plan to the Regional Sales Manager, targeting a minimum of five sales calls per day.
• Document all customer contacts and sales activities in ACS at least three times per week.
• Communicate regularly with Inside Sales, the RSM and team members on territory strategy and problem resolution.
• Continuously improve product knowledge, sales skills and market/application expertise.
• Maintain a high degree of professionalism at all times.

Required profile

• 4‑year college degree or equivalent experience.
• At least 1 year of field/outside sales and account management experience.
• Prior industrial sales experience with fluid control or filtration systems is preferred.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Ability to lead and coordinate a sales team effort.
• Organized, detail‑oriented and quick learner.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Basic mathematics aptitude (decimals, fractions, algebra).
• Mechanical aptitude.
