Field Inspector 1099 Contractor

About the role

Seek Now, a leading provider of on‑demand property data, is looking for independent 1099 contractors to perform accurate, impartial home and commercial property inspections for insurance, facility management, and real‑estate clients.

Key responsibilities

• Access and inspect steep or high roofs, lift and set up ladders and equipment up to 100 lb.
• Sketch, measure, and scope roof or room components of various shapes and sizes.
• Perform complete inspections, identifying age, condition, and any issues.
• Travel to catastrophe‑affected areas on short notice, often for 2‑6 week assignments.
• Document findings using Seek Now’s proprietary mobile software.
• Cover a 100‑mile radius around your home market and utilize equipment such as 3D cameras, drones, and moisture meters.

Required profile

• Clean, reliable truck, van or SUV capable of transporting a 32‑ft ladder.
• Operational laptop and smartphone; ability to navigate applications and use Microsoft Office.
• Valid driver’s license, state‑issued workers’ compensation, general liability insurance, and LLC documentation.
• Ability to obtain HAAG certification within 90 days.
• Professional appearance and willingness to stay in provided lodging when required.

Required skills

• Use of 3D cameras, drones, and moisture meters for inspection.
• Proficiency with proprietary inspection software on a smartphone.
• Competence in Microsoft Office and data entry on laptop.
