Fellow, Emerging Technology Trends

About the role

AVEVA is seeking a visionary Fellow to lead the identification and analysis of emerging technology trends that will shape the industrial software landscape over the next several years. The role is hybrid and based in one of three U.S. hubs – San Francisco, Philadelphia or Boston.

Key responsibilities

• Lead trend analysis across key sectors, forecasting evolution over 3‑7 years.
• Collaborate with business and technical leaders to prioritize technology innovation initiatives.
• Identify cutting‑edge technologies that can enhance product offerings and operational efficiency.
• Prepare detailed technical reports and presentations for senior management.
• Work closely with engineering, product management, and business development to embed trends into strategic plans.
• Build and maintain relationships with industry experts, venture capitalists, start‑ups, and research institutions.
• Provide leadership and mentorship to a team of analysts and researchers.

Required profile

• Minimum 15 years of experience in technology research, market analysis, or a related field.
• Strong network within the venture and start‑up community and experience working with industry analysts.
• Proven ability to present findings to senior leadership and executives.
• Prior management experience with a track record of recruiting and leading distributed teams.
